Plugin v1.6.91, July 2026​

New​

  • Role Manager, site owners can grant individual WordPress roles (Editor, Author, custom roles) access to specific Minorank tools, SEO Settings, Schema, Redirections, 404 Monitor, Internal Links, Keyword Conflicts, Broken Links, Bulk Editor, SEO Analyzer, Addons. On-page editing is split into four granular permissions: General, Advanced, Schema, and Social. Administrators always retain full access. Built for agencies delegating SEO work without giving full plugin access.
  • SEO Analyzer, a new on-demand site health check page. Nothing runs automatically. Click "Run Analysis" to get a score ring, Passed/Warnings/Failed breakdown, structure checks (permalinks, tagline, visibility, heading structure, title/description length, alt attributes, canonical tags, noindex, OpenGraph), and site health checks built on real data from Broken Links, Internal Links, Keyword Conflicts, and Redirections. Last result is cached and loads instantly on revisit.
  • CSV import for SEO meta and redirects, the Import & Migration tool now supports uploading a CSV with user-defined column mapping, for both SEO meta and redirects, compatible with exports from any SEO plugin.
  • Rank Math redirect import with conflict detection, automatic detection of redirect loops and duplicates during import.
  • Redirect health check, one-click scan from the Redirections page that detects redirect loops (including self-redirects) and redirect chains.
  • Redirect target picker, a searchable picker for the redirect Target URL field, search pages, posts, products (by title or SKU), and taxonomy terms grouped by type, click a result to fill in the URL.
  • Other-SEO-plugin conflict warning, shows a warning if Rank Math, Yoast, All in One SEO, SEOPress, or The SEO Framework is active alongside Minorank SEO.
  • 404 Monitor settings, master on/off switch for 404 logging plus a configurable retention period (default 90 days, or forever) with automatic daily cleanup.

Improvements & Fixes​

  • Fixed the "Image alt text contains keyword" check across Gutenberg, classic editor, and Elementor so it correctly checks the post's featured/main image, not just images placed in the content body.
  • Fixed the Gutenberg Social Share Image field not previewing the featured image as its automatic default.
  • Local Business Schema now defaults to off for new installs (existing configured sites are unaffected).
  • Broken Links checker no longer flags working /wp-content/ file links (uploaded PDFs, images, assets) as broken.
  • Bulk Editor no longer lists Elementor's internal template-library items (headers, footers, popups, the site Default Kit) as editable content.
  • Quick Import now shows taxonomy term counts alongside post counts.
  • Clearer messaging when adding a redirect whose source already exists.

Security​

  • Tightened server-side permission checks so a role granted access to one Minorank tool cannot read or write data belonging to posts it was not granted access to.
  • Closed a gap where Elementor's SEO tab could be used without respecting granular Role Manager permissions.
  • Hardened JSON-LD structured data output against a stored-content edge case that could affect front-end script execution.
  • Fixed external redirects being silently blocked or misrouted in certain configurations.
  • 404 Monitor now only records the actual visitor connection IP, ignoring headers a visitor could spoof.
  • Removed internal database details from stored diagnostic logs.
  • Hardened data deserialization in the Rank Math redirect import and the metabox main-image detection against maliciously crafted stored values.
  • Scoped an internal integration key so it is only present on the settings screen that needs it.

Plugin v1.6.63, July 2026​

New​

  • Hreflang Health (new Addon), for sites running WPML, Polylang, or TranslatePress. Audits the translation links those plugins use to build their own hreflang tags and flags: deleted/trashed translation targets, duplicate language codes within a translation group, and invalid language codes. Never outputs any hreflang tags itself (those plugins already do that). The card is invisible on single-language sites, it doesn't appear on the Addons page unless WPML, Polylang, or TranslatePress is detected active.
  • Bulk SEO Editor, taxonomy support, the Bulk Editor now covers categories, tags, and any custom taxonomy in addition to posts and pages. Terms get the same live SEO Score, computed against the term's description field.
  • Bulk-select-to-ignore, the Internal Links and Broken Links report pages now support selecting multiple rows and ignoring/un-ignoring them in one action.

Removed​

  • AI Meta Generator button, the "Generate with AI" button in the post editor (and its REST endpoint) has been removed from the free plugin. AI-assisted meta generation is now available exclusively through a Minorank platform subscription. The Settings page now shows a subscription prompt card instead.

Security​

  • Fixed unescaped keyword rendered via innerHTML in the Elementor content-analysis panel, rebuilt using safe DOM text nodes.
  • Fixed unescaped URL in an <img> tag in the same panel (OG image preview), rebuilt using the DOM API.
  • Removed a dead AJAX handler that accepted an arbitrary, unvalidated value for the site's own REST API key.
  • Fixed ~50 findings from WordPress.org's Plugin Check tool (SQL annotation gaps, no actual injection vulnerabilities).
