SEO Analyzer
The SEO Analyzer is an on-demand site health check page. Nothing runs automatically in the background. You open the page, click Run Analysis, and get a comprehensive snapshot of your site's SEO health.
The last scan result is stored and loads instantly on revisit, so opening the page never triggers a re-scan by itself.
Running an analysis
- Go to Minorank SEO → SEO Analyzer.
- Click Run Analysis.
- Wait for the scan to complete (typically a few seconds).
- Review the score ring and check results.
To run a fresh scan at any time, click Run Analysis again. The stored result is replaced with the new one.
Score ring
The score ring at the top of the page gives a quick summary:
- Score, a percentage reflecting how many checks passed out of the total
- Passed, number of checks that returned no issues
- Warnings, number of checks that returned non-critical issues
- Failed, number of checks that returned critical issues
Structure checks
These checks inspect your site's configuration and content settings:
| Check | What it looks for |
|---|---|
| Permalink structure | Confirms you are using a non-default permalink structure (e.g. /%postname%/) |
| Tagline | Flags the default "Just another WordPress site" tagline if it has not been changed |
| Search engine visibility | Detects if WordPress's "Discourage search engines from indexing this site" setting is enabled |
| Heading structure | Checks for common H1/H2 hierarchy issues on key pages |
| Title length | Flags posts and pages with meta titles outside the 50-60 character recommended range |
| Description length | Flags posts and pages with meta descriptions outside the 120-160 character recommended range |
| Image ALT attributes | Reports images missing alt text across published content |
| Canonical tags | Checks that canonical tags are present and correctly formed |
| Noindex meta | Lists any published pages that carry a noindex directive, useful for catching accidental noindex on important pages |
| OpenGraph tags | Confirms OG title and description are present on key content |
Site health checks
The site health section reuses data already gathered by other Minorank modules, so these checks reflect the real state of your site rather than a shallow re-scan:
| Check | Data source |
|---|---|
| Broken internal links | Broken Links module |
| Orphaned pages | Internal Links module |
| Keyword conflicts | Keyword Cannibalization module |
| Redirect issues | Redirections module |
:::note Modules must be active A site health check only runs if the underlying module is active. If Broken Links is disabled, the broken links check will show as skipped rather than passed. :::
Acting on results
Each failed or warning check includes a short explanation and, where applicable, a direct link to the relevant settings page or report so you can fix the issue immediately without navigating manually.
Role Manager access
By default, only Administrators can access the SEO Analyzer. You can grant access to other roles via Minorank SEO → Settings → Role Manager. See Role Manager for details.
