Privacy Policy

Minorank ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Minorank platform at https://minorank.com and publishes the Minorank SEO WordPress plugin. This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights under applicable law including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. The Minorank SEO WordPress Plugin

The Minorank SEO plugin is installed on your WordPress website. We do not have access to your WordPress database. All data the plugin collects is stored locally on your own server, under your control.

2.1 Data stored on your server

The plugin stores the following data in your WordPress database:

IP addresses in the 404 log are collected from visitors who trigger a 404 error on your site. This data is stored on your server only. You are responsible for disclosing 404 logging to your own visitors in your site's privacy policy.

Uninstalling the plugin permanently deletes all plugin options and drops the custom database tables.

2.2 Data sent to external services

The plugin communicates with two external services. No data is sent to Minorank servers.

IndexNow (Bing / Yandex)

When: Automatically when a post is published or updated (if IndexNow is enabled in Settings), and on demand via the Settings page.
Data sent: A unique site key generated on activation, and the URL of the published or updated post.
No personal data is included.

Anthropic API (AI Meta Generator)

When: Only when an admin user explicitly clicks the "Generate with AI" button on a post. Nothing is sent automatically.
Data sent: The post title and up to 2,000 characters of the post's plain-text content. Sent using your own Anthropic API key — Minorank never provides or proxies this key.
No visitor data is included.

3. The Minorank Platform (app.minorank.com)

The Minorank platform connects to your WordPress site via the plugin's REST API using an API key you generate inside the plugin. Data flows from your site to the platform on demand — only when you or the platform initiates a request.

3.1 What the platform accesses

When connected, the platform may read and write:

SEO settings (sitemap configuration, schema preferences, IndexNow settings)
Post and page SEO meta (title, description, keywords)
Plugin status information

3.2 Account data

When you create a Minorank account we collect:

Email address — used to identify your account and send transactional emails (plan confirmations, password resets).
Billing information — processed by our payment provider. We do not store card numbers on our servers.
Connected sites — the domain(s) of WordPress sites you link to your account.

We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. Cookies and Analytics

The Minorank website (minorank.com) may use:

Session cookies — to keep you logged in to your account.
Analytics — if we use a web analytics tool, it is configured to anonymize IP addresses. No cross-site tracking is used.

The Minorank SEO plugin itself does not set any cookies on your WordPress site.

5. Data Retention

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights:

Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
Erasure — ask us to delete your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data.
Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. In Greece this is the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (HDPA) at www.dpa.gr.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest. API keys are stored hashed where possible. You are responsible for keeping your WordPress site and the Minorank API key secure.

8. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the plugin or platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
